Water Fun with Carter!

Jenn, Casi, Carter, Issabella, and I went swimming for the first time altogether on 6-25-10. It was quite funny. Carter is just like his sun for him. You sure can tell which child belongs to which mommy.

I hope that these two grow up and become the best of friends!

Issabella did not want out of the water. She loves to take a bath so I knew she would like the pool...I did not know she would but up a fight when it was time to get out.

Some one the other day at Target asked me if my baby already had a tan...ha, ha, no I told her...just her skin color.

Two Months

Dear Issabella,

On June 21, 2010 you turned two months old. You weighed 10 pounds and were 22 1/4 inches long. The doctor just thinks you are the best do we! You got three shots at this doctors visit. You did not like that at all. You were happy and then could not figure out what had just happened to you. Daddy picked you up and you cried a little longer. On the way home and most of the day you slept. You got a little fever from the shots right before bed time. Everything was fine the next day except your poo was a little blue. ;)

Here is what we remember about you being two months...
* you love to smile and talk
* you chatter more with daddy then mommy
* you love to have mommy read to you...people can't believe how you sit and look at the pictures and listen.
* you are trying to roll over
* you are just starting to reach up and touch and grap love to touch daddy's face
* you are out of newborn clothes...but your 0-3 pants are still to big...small butt
* everywhere we go everyone comments on how alert you are

We love you little peanut!

Random Pictures

My BFF had a birthday last week...her son was born six weeks before Issabella...we are both happy to have each other to go through the first time mommmy questions. We got together for her birthday for lunch.

Eddy has found a new friend...a cat.

Here is Issabella emjoying her sling thing. Seth and I got it at Once Upon a Child.

It's Not A Deere

Well some of you might know that we have cows and because of those cows we have to cut and bale hay. I HATE the h word (hay) Yuck Yuck! Last hay season Seth babied his John Deere mower and we thought he could do it again this year...nope...had to get a new (to us)one. It is not a Deere it is a International. It worked great! Here are some pictures from the day Seth got it

Dear Daddy

Dear Daddy,

Sunday was your first Father's Day! I know I am little and can't tell you with words how much I love you, but I sure do tell you with smiles and coos.

Dear Seth,

Issabella is so lucky to be able to call you her dad! You protect her just as you have always protected me. I love it when the two of you have your daddy/daughter times. She loves to cheese with you and tell you stories and you tell her stories right back. I can't wait to see our little peanut grow up and I know we will always support her!

Issabella's First 5K

On Sunday (6-6-10)Casi, Sue, Lisa, Issabella, and I went to Chicago for our first 5K since Issabella was born. The race was at Lincoln Park Zoo. Most of the race took place in the zoo! The animals looked like they were watching us walk. The cutest was a bear that was sunning on a rock with its tongue sticking out!

Issabella and I waiting for the race to start.

Last Day of 2009-2010 School Year!

Since I started teaching five years ago, our dog Chubs has always come in to school the last day. This year was no different! Seth brought Chubs and Issabella. My students had already been introduced to Issabella earlier in the week. So it was all about Chubs. I always have them stand in a line and see who Chubs goes to first. He always goes to that student that needs a little extra love. This year he picked a good one. The students could not get enough of him and Chubs was in dog heaven with all the hand petting him. They both loved it.

Issabella was busy watching them play with her dog. (Love that girl)

Here is our first family photo of all four of us!

Today we had no school, due to a lightning strike. So Casi,Lisa,Logan, Issabella, and i went out for breakfast for Casi's birthday! Logan is six months old today and wants to slobber all over Issabella! They both like to stare at each other make cooing and talking sounds.

Even infants can play footsie!

Logan tried to suck on Issabella's knee but she wanted nothing of it!
